Abbey Lathrop MS, RD, CSSD
As someone who has always held a deep belief in the importance of health, wellness & sport, Abbey found the best of both worlds in becoming a performance dietitian.
A native of Kennett Square, PA, Abbey received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition from Penn State University before continuing on to Florida State University where she received her Master of Science in Exercise Physiology & Sports Nutrition. She is a registered dietitian & a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD).
Abbey has spent a number of years working with a variety of individuals helping them to reach peak performance through optimal nutrition strategies. An athlete herself on the Penn State Rowing team, Abbey worked with collegiate athletes at Penn State before spending the 2014-15 season with the USA Field Hockey team helping them to prepare for the Rio Olympic games. Since then, she's worked with athletes at Florida State, spent the 2018-2019 season with the Chicago Bears & served as the performance dietitian at EXOS, a premiere sports performance facility in Phoenix, AZ.
Most recently, Abbey spent three seasons with the Denver Nuggets before moving onto the MLS where she is now the team dietitian for the Colorado Rapids Soccer Club.
Abbey resides in Denver, CO with her husband & their dog, Bode. Outside of her dietitian duties, Abbey loves spending time outdoors with friends & family (hiking, skiing, paddle boarding, gardening) as well as traveling to visit family & friends across the country.
